A Vision
Nothing new starts without a vision. Our vision is to be part of a growing number of vineyards in the state of Mississippi. Our state is poised to start a new phase in its history, one where the people of Mississippi will be able to enjoy excellent wines from grapes grown in our state!
Why One Acre?
We are a small Mississippi family business and feel the best way to grow will be by establishing one acre of quality grapes at a time. Mississippi is a borderline climate for growing traditional wine grapes. We will research the best ways to grow, propagate, and harvest. We need grapes that can thrive on the Gulf Coast.
Will there be a winery?
We have officially started One Mississippi Wines, LLC! Our future winery has a name, and we are working through the regulatory hoops to begin making native wines in Mississippi. There is much work to be done before we can begin making wines. The production vineyard has a couple more years to mature to the point where good wine can be made, but it’s a start!
